Tunic, Amy Butler Pattern Altered

I returned to the Amy Butler tunic pattern, again. This time I completely reconstructed the neckline. I also opened up the armpits a bit. If you'll remember that pattern was a bit tight in the pits. I did use an Amy Butler print. An oldie, but a goodie. It's lined, with muslin, of course. And I used pale pink polka dots for the button closures. Thanks to the Finny and Donk Sew Along -- from whom I won the pattern. I still love it.

Custom Order: The Flower Girl's Flower Girl

One of my recent custom sewing orders was to create a flower girl dress for the flower girl's American Girl doll. I had a picture and a fabric swatch (for matching the color) and that's it. Was a fun project. And it's actually a really cute gift for the bride to give the flower girls. Good idea.
PS -- I also made the matching headband (pictured) for the flower girl. David's Bridal couldn't get it done in time. Imagine!?!?!?

Summer Accessories Custom Orders

Following my April 4 show, I've had a few custom orders for bags. Here are the most recent to be completed. Coming up, a custom order for a very special wedding accessory. I just have to find a model, then I'll photograph it and post it here.

Gaucho chic is the theme for my most recently completed custom order. Look at this colorful cowboy crib set! The comforter is backed in chocolate minke -- super luxe.

Baby Ballgown, Green Silk

Decadent, huh? Dupioni silk for a baby's ball gown. Love it. Actually, I find that ironing is neither effective, nor necessary. So, it's actually not a bad choice.

Chair Back Pack

Here's a fun tradition for your family... chair back pack. Hang it on the back of the chair in which a special family member will sit in and drop love notes, toys, and other goodies in it on their special day. Great idea for birthdays!

Kiss My Grass Tote

Here's a fun, medium size tote with zipper closure that I whipped up for the April 4 show. It sold fast, glad I got a picture of it. This print is an out-of-print fabric from Laurie Smith -- you know how I love my Laurie Smith. The zipper is an invisible zipper that I made visible, so it makes for visual impact without a jagged zipper edge. The buttoned pocket is just for show, it's a simple pocket with no closure.
Inside is lined with a lime green and orange print and features a wide pocket.
